I grow Heleniums to and love them. I haven't had any problems getting them through the last 2 winters here in Wales but they don't like to be moved, it does seem to take them a bit to get going. I got a new Helenium this spring and it has flowered much longer than all the rest. I'll try and find the label and let you know what variety it is .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1288445507197749783.post-54883001089055866372011-09-25T15:14:02.306+01:002011-09-25T15:14:02.306+01:00Happy 300th post Louise! My sweetpeas are behaving in a funny way some are way up the tripod, and others still look like fairly new plants, but the colours and the smell.........just gorgeous. It's just gorgeous. What a colour! I think I'll have to try and find some Dahlias with that brilliant dark foliage too. Loved all the flowers on show today. Does that fox do much damage? I have a little trouble with wallabies here. But you have done very well with your flowers from the look of it - to my shame I have never tried to grow gladioli, they say there's no fool like an old fool. I will give them a go next year if they turn out as lovely as yours I will be dead chuffed.elaine https://www.blogger.com/profile/17075935631756457901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1288445507197749783.post-40509287743044941662011-08-13T21:08:58.930+01:002011-08-13T21:08:58.930+01:00Beautiful flowers.
