lovely picture! last night 6 collared doves were in our tree eating the berries... they were disturbed and all flew off at the same time... they made quite a racket!
I read that we should all make and put up birdhouses to encourage song birds. My family made a dozen last year. This spring on Long Island, in my garden the birds found nesting in my ridge went, my lamp post, under the eves of the roof, preferable to birdhouses. Go figure.
