GEUM

Princess Juliana, a dark-green, furry leaved, clump forming perennial. The flower, in its second flush, sits on a wiry stem, is hot orange, which adds much needed colour to the front of the border in late summer.

A little gem!

How nice to see you back, Louise...

And to see geum at this time of year! Mine bloomed earlier, but then I bought it from a nursery...is this its usual bloom time, or is it a repeat-performance?

I don't recall ever seeing this flower before. It has such a bright, striking colour that would be wonderful in a flower bed.

So sweet. When I lived far out in the country we had wild ones that were purple. We would pick them all spring and summer. Such fond mmories.

Quite a vivid hue. I would love to have something like that in my garden. I have orange colour mums, but he hue is much more muted.

You must have a splendid garden! I wish mine were so, but I haven't had much time or inclination this year to devote to it. The wildlife doesn't seem to mind, however.

Lovely photo. I had some Geums in my last garden, but don't here. After seeing your photo, I think I should rectify that.
