MAKING WILDFLOWER MEADOWS
I buy lots of second-hand gardening books.
Making Wildflower Meadows by Pam Lewis, who gardens at Sticky Wicket in Dorset, just happens to be the latest, and found in a Scope charity shop for a £1.
I know I shall enjoy turning over the pages of information, photos and illustrations.
I recommend you go see the beautiful meadow gardens at Great Dixter in East Sussex, the home of the late (and in my eyes great) Christopher Lloyd.
One day I shall turn a little patch of my garden over to meadow.
Now that's a lovely thought!

I keep thinking I'll do that with the lawn maybe one day...
Well, the shape my lawn is in, I guess I already have the meadow... now I just need more wildflowers and less weeds!
Hmmm, that's what I'm doing today -- going to see some wildflowers, albeit not at Great Dixter...
There is nothing nicer than a meadow! Your book was a bargain! I have some lovely old gardening books too..my fave is one about making a cottage garden. I just love to sit and read it when I'm having a cuppa!

i would love to go to Great Dixter... and now the hubby is a gardener too i may be able to persuade him to come with me...
