Hare to say about winter scent or colour... we are covered in white for many months and have no scent in our gardens.

My favourite for scent is the Daphne... I love it when I work in my garden in the summer months. It is not supposed to grow in Calgary. We are considered a Zone 3A but different areas of the city are microclimates from Zone 2b to Zone 4 or 5.... I have had two for years. Please may they continue to thrive!

Woohoo! I voted this time.... *looks smug*
Still snowing here!

I love the smell of freesias, I can smell them a mile away and I love lavender. My mums clothes always smelled of lavender as she kept those little smelly bags in her draws and wardrobe.

I don't have much of a sense of smell, or taste, unfortunately. In view of that I vote for winter jasmine for its colour and looks!

I love clematis in any shape or form or colour.. I have three in my patch and plan to have more!
Any colour in the garden at this time of year is welcome.. the only real colour left in mine is my Cotinus Smoke Bush which is a fabulous firey red.

I think I would go with the Daphne-but what about witch hazel? Just love that.
