STRANGE PHENONOMEN
The other weekend when we had the rain showers and the gardens were full of glistening cobwebs I took this photo of my holly bush. When I uploaded the photo onto my computer I noticed what looked like a frog sitting on a branch, I went back outside to take a look but I couldn't pinpoint exactly which part of the bush I had taken the photo. I know on film you can sometimes get two pictures overlapping but this was on digital and my memory card didn't have any photos of frogs on at the time. What do you make of it, is it a trick of the eye and just leaf and stem, looking at it does freak me a little.

I don't think it is a frog....although I can see why you had to look twice.
Do frogs climb trees?
Happy birthday to you, enjoy your box of chocolates. :-)
Hi Louise... is it perhaps a huge furry bodied spider?
We have had lots in our garden.
Thanks for your comment. My 7 yr old did the leaf picture.. with no help from me.. she knows exactly what she wants to do and approched the picture with real focus. She is a delight! The trunk is from some bark which falls into the garden from a neighbours tree, the flowers were pressed last year, the falling leaves from the tree like yours and the rest collected from a recent walk. I think it's charming.. i know she would be delighted if you put it on your blog. She is really pleased you like it. I'm just sorry the photo i took was not better.
hope you are having a good week. ginny

Looks very frog like to me, we have hundreds in the garden (despite the cats) and they do appear in all sorts of unexpected places. they are aslo surprisingly good at pretending to be leaves!
It does look like a frog. What a mystery. Maybe it's sheltering from the rain!!!
Thanks for sharing this photograph with us. sara from farmingfriends
We certainly get frogs all over the place and they do climb into pots in the tunnel.
I'd have thought holly was a bit prickly though

Hi Louise,
It looks like the end of a branch to me, but wouldn't want to go poking about in a holly bush to check!
Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. I am enjoying yours a lot and will visit again soon.

Hi Louise, I'm not sure what it is but like Marie, I wouldn't want to go poking around to find out! Thanks so much for your suggestions on my blog ... I'll still be visiting ~ just maybe not as often! ~ hugs, Lynda ♥
When I first saw the picture, before I started reading I immediately thought it was a frog. But on a second look it is perhaps part of the branch? Hard to say though. It's definitely unusual.
Ooooh! How intriguing...
I'm slightly concerned that one of your readers has large, furry spiders the size of frogs in her garden! Eeeek!
Jusy popped over here from Joanna's and am enjoying your blog :0)

Hi Louise
Have you heard of a shower of frogs..?
That is just what my parents had in their garden once upon a time.. hundreds of tiny frogs.. and they didn't have a pond! We were renovating our front yard last year and it is in the basement of the house that we found a frog sitting in an inch of water at the bottom of a bucket! Expect the unexpected I say!
It looks like a frog to me!
