NEW ADDITIONS FOR AN AUTUMN GARDEN
Isn't it a beauty, it's a Helenium Sahins Early Flowerer, it's really tall, and it's going to look lovely in my garden.
It's featured in this The Telegraph article, which also gives suggestions for plants to choose as companions too.
I may well need another trip to the wonderful Jack Dunckley's Birchfield at Henfield!
This nursery is a plant lover's dream.
I've quite a few Heucheras around the garden, but this is my first Heucherella, called Golden Zebra.
What a great plant name!
Miscanthus sinensis Morning Light, a name just perfect for this beautiful grass.
I love grasses.
I really hope there's no rain tomorrow, so I can get my new additions settled in.

There is a whisper that we will see the sun this weekend Louise!! I do hope so!
Isn't it exciting when you discover a new nursery - Birchfield looks great.

Good choise Louise - I love the Helenium.
Have a nice day - Rita
Lovely lovely. I like the colours in your new heuchera. I'm hoping to grow more of these for their pretty foliage.
I've had a couple of Heuchera's but lost them both ... some kind of Weevil thing ate through the roots and killed them . Not at the same time I might add , one died so I bought another one and the same thing happened :-(
Heuchera are such lovely plants. I have them outside my patio and in the mornings i sit and drink my coffee and admire them. Not a lot of pleasing things about them to attract butterflies and hummingbirds but the birds love them to hide in. I do enjoy your blog.
Heucheras are lovely plants. They are super hardy here and easy to grow. The foliage is beautiful and they also grow very fast. I use chicken compost that's aged and it makes our heuchera get really green and vibrant.
