ROSES - Grace
These beautiful roses were given to me yesterday by John's mum, this isn't the first lovely bunch I have had from her I hasten to add. There is nothing like fresh flowers to cheer you and your home up, although I never really treat myself to them, as I am always of the mind that it is best to spend the money on a plant for the garden, for everlong enjoyment!

Lovely roses:)I remember Granny 'G' giving me bunches of roses from her garden in the summer and they were just beautiful, all different colours and with a rose scent that you rarely get from 'bought' roses - why is that?
Hi Stella, I wasn't expecting a comment already seeing as I have only just this second posted this, you have caught me on the PC when I should be out in the garden, a hundred and one jobs to do, and I have a pile of ironing waiting for me as well! I am no expert on roses but I believe the ones grown for commercial reasons are bred with no scent to prolong the vase life, have you noticed that the lovely old-fashioned heady smelling ones picked straight from the garden flop after about a day.
Hi Louise,
What beautiful roses. A lovely gift to receive.
I just wanted to say that the photographs you have in your sidebar are fantastic. I particularly like the robin and the bat.

I love the roses and have just spent quite some time strolling round your blog. It really is delightful, with all the little gems you have at the side.Quite a little piece of Eden itself.
Hi Sara, I have now got around to putting the roses into a vase, they do look lovely. I cannot take credit for the photos of the bat and birds in the sidebar, my photography skills would be nowhere near good enough to take these sorts of long range pictures of moving images! All the photos on the left are of my making though, I just can't put my camera down these days!
Hi Judith, I am beginning to think we have psychic abilities, first with the Eden 'thing' and then did you notice we both posted comments at 16.52, it is a bit spooky isn't it! Thanks for your lovely comments about my blog, I was good today and didn't look in straight from getting in from work, I did some 'much needing doing' chores around the place instead. Although temptation got the better of me and I logged on with my cup of tea at about 4.30. I wish I had started blogging sooner, I always meant to, but another more tedious chore always came along to take up my time. I hope to hear from you again soon, thanks again. Louise
Beautiful flowers. I agree a plant is so much a better buy, but go on treat yourself and buy the odd bunch, we all deserve a little nature around us. Sometimes I manage the house keeping to afford a bunch of flowers and skip on something else, maybe no coffee something like that...

Thanks for your comment Suzie, I will treat myself to flowers every now and again, but no chance on skipping the coffee, every time my other half comes food shopping with me he has to buy and try another variety of filter coffee, he is costing a fortune!
Gorgeous picture....I can almost smell their heavenly scent! It looks like the front of a greeting card.
