SALVIA ‘BLACK AND BLUE’

My favourite colour is blue so you can imagine my delight when I spotted this lovely Salvia at Hampton Court this year, this to me is as close to a true blue flower as you are ever going to get.

Blue flowers are best admired at dusk, as along with white ones they remain visible for longer than any other colour.

Lovely photos:) I have been watering my neighbour's garden as they are away and have picked tomatoes most days which have been very nice!

Hi Stella, my last two sets of pictures have seen an improvement as John pointed out to me that the macro setting on the camera wasn't switched on, he does wonder about me at times! I hope your neighbours know that you are scrumpying their tomatoes; don't eat too many of them just before you see them, you might end up with a red face!

Once I discovered the macro setting I have never looked back.
And being able to turn off the flash - another breakthrough.

I love Blue and Purples in my garden. This salia is fine.
I'm glad I saw your blog when I was visiting Primrozie's blog. I'll be back to read more of your blog from time to time also.
